Scope of application
With this data protection declaration users obtain information about the nature, extent, and scope of the collection and use of their data by the responsible provider.
The European General Data Protection Regulation, the Federal Data Protection Act (new version), and the Telemedia Act (TMG) form the statutory framework for data protection.
Collection of general information
Information is automatically collected by us or the webspace provider every time this offer is accessed. This information, also called server logfiles, is of a general nature and cannot be traced back to you.
The following data is collected: name of the website, file, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, domain name of your Internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (site from where you accessed our offer), and the IP address.
Without this data it would not be technically feasible to deliver and display the content of the website. Collecting data is imperative in this respect. We also use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. It helps us optimize the offer and technology. We also reserve the right to subsequently check the log files upon suspicion of illegal use of our offer.
Data processing
Data processing takes place in the European Union (EU). Our web servers are in Germany. An order processing contract exists with the web host.
Legal basis for processing visitor data
The legal basis for processing visitor data is Art. 6 Section 1 lit f) GDPR (balancing of interests – legitimate interest of persons responsible)
Handling personal data
Definition: Personal data is defined as all information that can be used to clearly identify an individual. This is data that can be traced back to an individual.
This personal data includes the first name and surname, telephone number, as well as the e-mail address. Information about hobbies, memberships and preferences, as well as websites that were called up, is also considered personal data.
This data is only collected, used, and if necessary passed on by the provider if expressly permitted by law or the user consents to the collection, processing, use, and disclosure of the data.
Registration on our website
Personal data is collected if you register on our website to use personalized services. This includes name, address, as well as the telephone number and e-mail address as contact and communication data.
Registration grants access to services and content that are only available to registered users. If required, registered users have the option to change or delete at any time data specified within the framework of registration. On request we shall inform you which personal data was collected and saved. We also amend or delete the data on request, provided there are no statutory storage obligations. Please use the contact details given in this data protection declaration for any queries, as well as your request to amend or delete data.
Provision of fee-based services
We request additional data so that we can provide fee-based services. This applies, for example, to the payment details.
To guarantee data security during the transmission, we use encryption methods (such as SSL) via HTTPS, which correspond to state-of-the-art technology.
Recipient / Disclosure of data
Data that you supply us with on these websites is normally not disclosed to third parties. In particular, data is not disclosed to third parties for advertising purposes.
Newsletter
If you register for our newsletter, we shall use the data you have entered solely for this purpose or in order to inform you about the conditions relevant for this service or the registration. We shall not forward this data to third parties.
To receive the newsletter a valid e-mail address is required. The IP address via which you register for the newsletter and the date on which you order the newsletter are also saved. This data serves as proof in the event of improper use if another person’s e-mail address is registered for the newsletter. In order to ensure that an e-mail address is not entered in our distribution list improperly by third parties, we use the so-called „Double Opt-In“ method in accordance with the law. The delivery of the newsletter, the mailing of the confirmation mail, and the receipt of the registration confirmation are logged within the framework of this method.
You have the option at any time to revoke your consent to the storage of the data, your e-mail address, and their use for the newsletter mailing. There is a link in every newsletter and on the website if you wish to revoke your consent. You also have the option to communicate your cancellation request using the contact information given in this document.
Contact form
If you contact us using the online form or by e-mail, we save your details in order to be able to reply to your request and ask any follow-up questions.
Integration of third-party services and content
Every now and then our offer contains content and services of other providers. This includes, e.g., maps which are made available by Google Maps, YouTube videos, as well as graphics and images from other websites. The transmission of the IP address is imperative so that this data can be called up and displayed in the user’s browser. The providers (hereinafter called „third-party providers“) use the IP address of the respective user.
Even though we strive to solely use third-party providers who only require the IP address to be able to deliver content, we have no influence on whether the IP address is saved. In that case this process serves for statistical purposes, among other things. We shall advise our users if we become aware that the IP address is saved.
Cookies
This website uses so-called cookies. Cookies are text files that are saved by the server on your computer. They contain information about the browser, IP address, operating system, and the Internet connection. This data shall not be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.
Cookies have two tasks. They allow you to easily navigate through our offer and make possible the correct display of the website. They are not used to place viruses or start programs.
Users also have the option to call up our offer without cookies. For this the corresponding settings must be changed in the browser. Find out how to deactivate Cookies using the Help function in your browser. However, please be aware that deactivating cookies may interfere with some functions on this website and limit the comfort of use. The sites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ (USA) and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ (Europe) allow you to manage online advertising cookies.
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called „cookies“, text files stored on your computer that make it possible to analyze how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about how you use this website is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. In the event of IP anonymization being activated on these websites, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within any member state of the European Union or any other signatory state of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
On behalf of the operator of this website Google will utilize this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on the website activities, and provide other services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being stored by making a corresponding setting in your browser software. Please be aware that if you do this, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and pertaining to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: Browser Add On for Deactivation of Google Analytics.
More information on terms of use and data protection can be found online at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.
Facebook social plug-in
We integrate plug-ins of the social network Facebook (Address: 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA) on our websites. The plug-ins can be recognized – there is an overview here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/Plug-ins/ – from the Like button or the Facebook logo.
A direct connection to Facebook is established when you call up one of our websites with a Facebook plug-in. We have no influence on the nature and scope of the data that is collected, saved, and processed by Facebook. We can only inform you based on our level of knowledge.
Via the plug-in Facebook is informed that you have called up the corresponding website of our offer. This also applies to users who are not registered with Facebook. In that case there is the possibility that Facebook saves the IP address.
If you are a member of Facebook and logged in, opening a website with a Facebook plug-in can be clearly assigned to your Facebook user account. The plug-ins also communicate all interactions when you, for example, use the Like button or leave a comment.
In order to prevent Facebook saving data about you, log out of Facebook before visiting our websites. You can also block the plug-ins with add-ons for the browser (e.g. „Facebook Blocker“).
Information on data protection regulations, the purpose and extent of the data collection and processing, as well as the settings for protecting privacy on Facebook, is available here: http://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.php.

As a provider, we obtain no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and its use by Twitter. More information can be found in Twitter’s data protection declaration online at http://twitter.com/privacy. Twitter offers you the option of defining your own data protection settings under the following link: http://twitter.com/account/settings.
